A question about teenagers and sexuality.

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

I’ve posted a query about teenagers and sexuality. My response follows below.

Dear Katie,

Do you have advice for some kind of info to show to a 16-year old who is being tempted into sex?!

Thank you!

Every sixteen year old is unique, so it’s hard to know what to recommend. My book, HONORING OUR CYCLES, gives a simple description of the menstrual cycle and how pregnancy occurs. THE GARDEN OF FERTILITY also includes what happens in the male reproductive system. Both books are packed with stories from real people about their experiences with sex, birth control,
and their bodies. That might be the best recommendation I can give; that you help this young woman find a way to hear from other people about their experiences.

Best of luck,

Katie Singer
